FOH SUPPORT
We are currently seeking proficient people for BAR EMPLOYEE jobs with work that involves serving, hosting, bussing, washing dishes, barbacking, taking out the trash, lifting 50 lbs, cleaning and sanitizing, following instructions, keeping an eye on details, assisting co-workers, and generally helping us host the best party in town. Water Bear Bar appreciates all previous work experiences applicants may have had on their journey, and asks employees to critically think and expand their knowledge as they train and learn how OUR BAR operates. We mandate that employees perform work duties as called out by house SOP and take pride in their work while providing guests with a remarkable experience every time. JOB OVERVIEW + COMPENSATION
All staff set the tone for the guest’s experience at Water Bear Bar and play a key role in setting up the team for success. We’re looking for people who embody the ethos that is Water Bear, has open availability, and who strive to learn more about hospitality and grow in the industry. Nights and weekends are non negotiable. Fearless communication with a smile is a must.
Part time or full time, pay starts at $12-$15 (dependent on experience) + house tip pool + hiring bonus offered.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Executing opening and closing procedures for FOH/BOH
Have all menus in their entirety memorized at all times
Confidently talk about cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and food and provide suggestions to guests
Fearless communication! Be able to ask questions, ask for help, learn something and work as part of our team
Assume 100% responsibility for quality products served
Possess a full understanding of health code standards and safe food-handling procedures
Maintain clean and sanitary work stations, and give respect for equipment at all times
Work with a sense of urgency and purpose to achieve daily, weekly and long-term goals
Dishes! Everyone on the clock is a dishwasher
Offsite education on your own time is required
Fully understand and exhibit the Water Bear ethos, embodying our core values, inspiring celebration, and serve as a brand ambassador both internally and externally
Arrive to work on-time, with a stylish professional appearance, including good hygiene and attitude
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
2 years experience required
21 years of age or older
Eligibility to work requires COVID-19 vaccination
Excels in a fast paced environment
Efficient time management skills and attention to detail
Be able to bend, stand, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs
To work shifts fully without need to leave premises
